Miller, collector of the first collection district, State of Maine, to Edward M. and/or John Rand, of Portland, Me., for the practice of law, the Rands having paid the tax of $10 in conformity with the provisions of an Act to Provide internal revenue to support the government and to pay interest on the public debt, approved 1 July 1862.
