Topics include the complexity of country music; his family and growing up in Graysville, Tennessee; tunes he plays with Tom Morgan, and how he learned the tunes; memories of other musicians he's played with, including A.A. Gray, John Simmons, Lowe Stokes, Bert Layne, and Earl Johnson; recalls Clayton McMichen and plays one of McMichen's tunes; plays tunes his father taught him, including "Smoke Behind the Clouds."
