Jackie Braun whose full names were Ruth Emerson Jackman Braun, was graduated from Radcliffe College in 1927. She worked as a stage designer in Broadway (1927-1930) and, after study at the Yale School of Drama (1931), became Executive Director of the Dance Repertory Theatre in New York City. Later she ran an interior decorating business and was business manager for photographer Lee Miller Penrose.
