Diary transcription, 1983.

Paper by Frye entitled "Japan Journal, 1917, by Henrietta Hill Swope," written for the Department of History, Northeastern University, is a transcription of a diary by the fifteen-year-old Swope; includes introduction and explanatory notes. The original diary is in the Henretta H. Swope collection at the Schlesinger Library. Swope was an astronomer and research fellow at Mt. Wilson and Palomar Observatories in California.
