Huey Long Pierce, Louisiana governor and United States senator, was born 30 August 1893, near Winnfield, Winn Parish, Louisiana, and died 10 September 1935. Arthur Taylor Prescott (1863-1942) graduated from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, La., in 1884.
