Richard Clarke Cabot, 1868-1939, AB, 1889, Harvard College; MD, 1892, Harvard Medical School, was Professor of Clinical Medicine and Social Ethics at Harvard. Cabot led the teaching of Social Ethics at Harvard from 1920 to 1934. Cabot also served as one of two chiefs of staff at Massachusetts General Hospital from 1912 until his retirement in 1921. Dr. James Jackson and Dr. John C. Warren initially sought funds for a hospital in Boston, Mass. which would also be made available to student s of the Harvard Medical School for clinical training.
