Dr. C.P. Martin, born in Dublin, Ireland, served as a young man in the Royal Irish Constabulary and, in World War I, as an officer in the Royal Irish Regiment. He received a degree in medicine from Trinity College in Dublin in 1928. He soon after joined the staff of Trinity College as a teacher of Anatomy, Embryology, and Physical Anthropology.
