Collection comprises the papers of university administrator, educational consultant and administrative consultant O. Meredith Wilson, including correspondence, writings, speeches, and sources reflecting his career as an administrator and as a scholar of education, particularly from 1967 to 1975. Of particular note is the manuscript for his collected essays, which was never published. The collection of his administrative consultations reveals the breadth of his expertise and involvement with the social function of higher education in the United States and abroad.

O. Meredith Wilson was born on 21 September 1909 in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Guy C. and Melissa Stevens Wilson. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1934 and received his Ph.D. from the University of California in 1943.
