Samuel Reber collection, 1947-1957.

Consists chiefly of an NBC broadcast, a memorandum, statutes and charters relating to United States European relations, namely Austria, Germany, and Italy in the years following World War II, when Samuel Reber was Acting Deputy Director for the Office of European Affairs with the U.S. Department of State. Also to be found in the collection is a typed manuscript signed by Reber's niece, Lucy T. Briggs, about her trip down the Amazon which started on July 6, 1957. The manuscript is dated July 26, 1957, and includes in the end a holograph note to her uncle. Also included is a small carte-de-visite with a thank you note from Jean McCracken Storck to Reber.
