Claude B. Duval papers 1822-2006 (bulk 1950-1979).

This collection is divided into two main groups: Claude B. Duval and Easton family papers. The first group covers Duval's political career with a few aspects of his law practice and personal life. It includes numerous legislative bills and resolutions, political news, Duval's honors and certificates, political correspondence, and records of his campaigns for office. The second group contains records from the Easton family, who who are linked to Duval through his paternal grandfather--Dr. Claiborne Alexander Duval. This group contains materials concerning activities of various members of the Easton family during the late 1800s to early 1900s. It includes correspondence, recipe books, essays on local history, Civil War documents, stock certificates, accounting ledger sheets, autograph albums, campaign speeches, and notarial records.
