This series comprises records created or retained by persons responsible for coordinating ELCA mission assistance relating to Malawi. These records were generated during the course of documenting, monitoring, and publicizing projects, programs, and general updates pertaining to the efforts to practice the accompaniment model of mission whereby the ELCA's Division for Global Mission (DGM) walked with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Malawi (ELCM) in mission efforts. The records are from 1987-2001 with the bulk dating from 1996-2001. This series comprises one accession received into the ELCA Archives and includes records of the program director mentioned in this series' background: the Rev. Benyam A. Kassahun. Record types include primarily business correspondence. This correspondence is typewritten, handwritten, or printed copies of electronic mail. There are other records that include a budget, project grant listings, and project descriptions.
