Poems "Keats and Fanny B....," "Partie Genesis," and "Edgar Allan Poe." Letter to Dr. Wm. Hayes Ward. 1884 Apr 15. Letter gives fulsome thanks for "your beautiful paper in the April Century." "I am full sure that time shall confirm your estimate of his art and of his spirit and you will be gratified by its ratification of your true and wise judgement." Letter is presumably referring to Dr. Ward's six page article about Clifford Lanier's late brother entitled "Sidney Lanier, Poet" which appeared in the April 1884 Century Magazine, Volume V, pp. 816-821.
