Reseña descriptiva de la Gruta de Cacahuamilpa : Iguala, Mex. : ms., 1917.

Manuscript (202 p.) by Iturbide describing the grotto at Cacahuamilpa and its surroundings, consisting of six chapters divided in two sections. The first four chapters concern the description of the towns situated on the route to Cacahuamilpa, the backgrounds of the explorations of Cacahuamilpa since its rediscovery in 1833, and the description of the 22 galleries located within. This section also incorporates the author's personal experiences as well as geographical information found in records of voyagers. The fifth and sixth chapters consist of transcriptions of an anonymous account of the expedition of Porfirio Diaz to the grotto in 1881, apparently written shortly after that date. This last section carefully describes details of the reception to President Diaz in the grotto, such as food, music, clothes, dancing, decoration, all of which are portrayed by a prose full of color and allegories. The Reseña concludes with a poem to the grotto by Jose T. de Cuellar.
