The Elizabeth Banks correspondence consists of 46 letters addressed to William Morris Colles of the Author's Syndicate, spanning the years 1893 to 1903. The letters concern the writing and publishing of a series of articles by Banks entitled "In Cap and Apron", and also her book, Autobiography of a Newspaper Girl, published in 1902 by Metheun in London and Dodd Mead in the United States.
