Clemson chronology collection, 1987-1988.

Dr. Alan Schaffer of the Clemson University History Department assigned students the project of researching for dates of events in the history of Clemson in 1987-1988. Students consulted primarily "The Tiger," the student newspaper; although a variety of other publications were used. They list on index cards the date, a short synopsis of the event, and usually some citation. Dr. Schaffer may have used this information when preparing his pictorial history of Clemson, "Visions: Clemson's Yesteryears, 1880s-1960s."
