Union official and politician. Brian Richard William Harradine was born in Quorn, South Australia in 1935. In 1959 Harradine moved to Tasmania where he served as Secretary-General of the Tasmanian Trades and Labor Council, 1964-1976, and thus was a member of the Australian Council of Trade Unions' Executive.
