Landfall Honolulu [manuscript] : the story of Kurrewa. [1951?]

Typescript description of an ocean race from Los Angeles to Honolulu (4th July 1949), outlining the preparations involved in outfitting the ketch Kurrewa III, describing the crew and places visited in the South Pacific. The text is written by Frank Livingston. Frank, John, and their sister Emily Livingston (along with Bill Gordon and Alan Bath) were the first Australians to take part in the Trans-Pacific (Los Angeles-Honolulu) race. The 1947 Auckland to Sydney yacht race, which was won by the Kurrewa in record time, is also briefly mentioned. Alterations and corrections are shown. A photograph of Kurrewa III with its crew is also included.
