Contains extensive research files maintained by Professor Reid and his assistants while researching the history of the Commonwealth Parliament. The files contain research notes, articles, newspaper cuttings and printed materials, as well as photocopies of primary materials dating from as early as 1861. Also contains 1987 drafts of an unpublished chronology of the Federal Parliament, 1901-1986 and drafts and proofs of "Australia's Commonwealth Parliament, 1901-1988: ten perspectives" published in 1989.
