Copy of a petition signed by 137 members of the Australian Parliament which was sent to the Prime Minister The Hon. R.J.L. Hawke on 24 October 1991. The petition called on the Prime Minister to oppose the sale of the Fairfax newspaper group to any individual or consortium that would result in greater concentration of media ownership in Australia. The covering letter is signed by John Langmore, M.P. and David Connolly, M.P.
