These documents were copied from the Library of Ajuda, Lisbon, Portugal. They relate to the Jesuits in the Far East, mostly being unpublished. However, Boxer, Murdoch, Schurhammer, Freitas, Braga and others have used a little of the material in published works. Most of these documents are in Portuguese but Latin, Spanish and French are also used. They contain copies of the annotated catalogue prepared by J. M. Braga c. 1971, entitled "The Jesuits in Asia" (282 p.).
