Material collected for the biography of Charles Hawker entitled "Charles Hawker: soldier, pastoralist, statesman" (Adelaide, Griffin Press 1969). The papers consist of draft manuscript (incomplete) and papers relating to the writing of the book and correspondence, press cuttings, reports and publications relating directly to Charles Hawker and his parliamentary career. Photographs, diaries, speeches, letters, phamphlets, invitations are also included.
