Illuminated addresses presented to Baron Gerald Strickland and Lady Edeline Strickland. 1913-1917.

Illuminated farewell address from the Councellors of Perth on Baron Gerald Strickland's departure in 1913, and an illuminated welcoming address to him from the citizens of Tenterfield, New South Wales, 1915. There is an illuminated address dated 1917 from the British Red Cross Society, Australian Branch, N.S.W. Division, in appreciation of Lady Edeline Strickland's services as president of the Society. Also includes 'Maltese constitutional and economic issues, 1955-1959' [by The Hon. Mabel Strickland, leader, Progressive Party], Valetta, Malta, 1959. Mabel Strickland is the daughter of Baron and Lady Strickland. There is a copy of 'The seige of Malta 1565', by Ian C. Lochhead, London, 1970, and a photocopy of the address of welcome on the appointment of Sir Gerald Strickland as Governor of New South Wales in 1913, signed by members of the council of the Sydney Chamber of Commerce.
