Score [manuscript]. 1971.

Score of "Tamburline", Mrs Murdoch's first opera. The opera had its premiere at the Stanley Theatre, Liverpool University, on Sept. 10th, 1971. It was financed by the Ralph Vaughan Williams Trust and the Arts Council of Great Britain. The libretto, written by John Murdoch, is based on the 14th century Tartar conqueror who combined ruthlessness with a strong sense of justice.

Murdoch, Elaine, 1944-

Mrs Elaine Murdoch was born of Dutch parents, in Java in 1944. She was nine when her parents moved to Perth. Here, she later studied Music and English at the University of Western Australia.
