Comprises the following items: 1. 26 letters from Patrick White to the Duke, 1936-47 and 1973. 2. Two letters from the Duke to White, 1938 and 1947. 3. Typescripts of two unpublished poems, possibly by White, 1937. 4. A copy of the first publication of "The Twitching Colonel", inscribed by White "To Pepe", 1937. 5. A copy of "The Year's poetry, 1938", which includes White's poem "The House behind the barricades". Copy inscribed by White "To Pepe". 6. Two photographs of Patrick White and one of the Duke de Baena, 1948 and 1973. 7. Clippings from French and Spanish newspapers reporting White's Nobel Prize award, 1973.
