W.B. Clarke; Clark v. Sydney Mail. Typescript copy; Reminiscences of the Lower Hunter River, N.S.W. 1856-1857, by Thomas Whitley (July 1904); Typescript of A tour to hell; Out of the notes of one Jeremiah Shey or Shea, who was transported to Australia in 1818 in the ship "Marley II" for stealing a pair of boots (1 vol. bound).

Thomas Farrar Whitley was born 11 May 1906 in Leeds, England to George Henry Whitley and Mary Ann Farrar Whitley. His family joined the LDS Church and eventually moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. Tom accepted a call to serve in the Tonga Mission, where he served from Mar. 1935-Feb. 1938. On Sept. 30, 1938, he married Caroline Dorothy Gunderson, with whom he had six children. Geologist and clergyman; headmaster, King's School, Parramatta, 1839-1840, with charge of parishes of Castle Hill and Dural, 1839-1844, and Campbelltown, 1844-1846; Rector of St. Thomas' Church, North Sydney, 1846-1870. He also made many researches into the geology of N.S.W. and Queensland and made several finds of goldfields. His son, M. W. S. Clarke was an officer in the Artillery Volunteer Corps.
