Letters received by T. Haweis and others [manuscript].

Some of the letters throw light on missionary appeals etc. in England, others are from missionaries in the field, mainly in Tahiti and Tonga. There is also an 8 page diary written at Tahiti by someone on the brig Chatham, 27 Dec. 1791 - 14 Jan. 1792. Includes ALS (usually 1 and not more than 3) from ten of missionaries connected with the London Missionary Society's Pacific missions. The missionaries are: George Bennet, Henry Berkely, Henry Bicknell, Rev. William Pascoe Crook, John Davies, Rev. Thomas Lewis, Henry Nott, James Puckey, William Puckey, and William Shelley.
