Collection of personal files, notes, maps, photographs, books, pamphlets, newscuttings, souvenir and propaganda cards, and leaflets relating to Monash's career during and immediately after the war of 1914-1918. The 'personal files' consist of correspondence, orders, reports, narratives, notes on conferences, souvenir material, corps reports and battle telegrams and are preserved as received in 26 separate books (i.e. folders). The remainder includes the Field Message Book used by Monash on Gallipoli, papers on demobilization, military (mostly training) manuals, press cuttings for July-Oct. 1918, and reviews and typescripts of Australian victories in France.
