John Smith was manager of Niel Black's stations Mount Noorat and The Sisters and later partner with Black Bros. at Grassdale Station, Victoria. From the description of Papers [manuscript]. (Libraries Australia). WorldCat record id: 225785229 J. Smith, 1811-1895, grazier, arrived in Sydney in 1836. He became Superintendent to John Betts in 1839 for the property Molong, N.S.W.
