This is a collection of correspondence, field notebooks, maps, charts, accounts, receipts, newspapers, books, articles, etc., relating to H. I. Jensen's career as a geologist. Subjects include the geology of the Roma district (particularly re the oil fields), the geology of North Queensland, seasonal weather forecasting, and Ormildah, Mandated Territory. Also included are approximately 230 manuscripts of his scientific reports, articles, papers, etc. In addition there are about 75 manuscripts of articles on political and economic subjects, and manuscript drafts of novels, poems and literary articles. There are also about 400 letters mainly relating to geology and mining. The correspondents include John Rendrew Craig, Sir Tennatt William Edgeworth David, Andrew Fisher, E. H. Hughes, William Morris Hughes, R. J. Winters and Andrew Rindberg.
