Manuscript botanical notes supplied by Baron von Mueller to Miss Jessie Louise Hussey, of South Australia [an amateur collector of plants, including algae.] Each list of notes ends as a personal letter. References to von Mueller's collaboration with George Bentham in 1866 in producing 3rd vol. of Universal flora of Australia, and to death in 1895 of J. Bracebridge Wilson, botanist and headmaster of Geelong Grammar School. Enquiry re relatives of the geologist Spottiswood Wilson, who was with von Mueller in A. C. Gregory's Northern Australian expedition in 1855. Collection includes an autographed photo portrait of von Mueller, addressed to Miss Hussey, and a printed in memoriam pamphlet describing von Mueller's funeral, written by Rev. W. Potter.
