Memoirs [manuscript]. 1858-1908.

Memoirs of General Horatio Gordon Robley, sent to L. Kashnor. Includes a narrative of his army life and service, 1858-1887. He relates a Fenian Episode, and gives lists of pictures drawn by him and printed in the Illustrated London News, the London Graphic and Punch. He describes the gathering of a collection of Maori heads. In describing the history of the greenstone tiki, he suggests that the Maoris were a Middle Eastern people. He transcribes an article from a Spanish paper defending the Spanish bull fight.
