The papers include: drafts of "The witness men" and correspondence and newspaper cuttings relating to the compilation of this book; genealogical research material; book reviews; press cuttings; cutting books; and 1 folder annotated superscripts of Whitington's autobiography; a draft of "Twelfth man" together with correspondence, notes, articles and newspapers cuttings pertaining to the production of the book and information for inclusion in it. Correspondents include Rohan Rivett, Frank Green, Dame Enid Lyons. Also includes an extract from the proofs of "John Curtin - an atypical Labor leader" by Kim Beazley;. part of original of "Twelfth man"; typescripts of "Effluent society" and "Inside Canberra" (written in conjunction with Rob Chalmers); working papers of Australian Press Services and South Australian Farm.
