Notebook in the form of an 1847 Almanac. Entries begin in 1846 with notes relating to his employment as an agricultural labourer and records of wages paid to him and his wife and son. Later entries include notes of purchases made by the family to equip themselves for their voyage to South Australia. The notebook also contains notes made in 1852 regarding the family's requirements for travelling to the Victorian goldfields.
