David Young papers [manuscript]. 1968-ongoing.

The collection consists of Young's correspondence (both personal and business), literary manuscripts, business papers, and ephemera. It also includes manuscripts edited by David Young by authors such as Michael Ondaatje (Anil's Ghost), Margaret Atwood (Alias Grace), Kathy Acker (Blood and Guts in High School), and draft manuscripts for Young's books, television, film and theatre scripts. The business papers relate to The Writers' Union of Canada, The Writers' Trust, The For/Words Foundation, the Coach House Press, and The Baffin Island Project. The ephemera documents the Toronto arts scene.

David Young was born in 1946 and raised in Oakville, Ont. He is best known for his plays Glenn (Stratford Festival, 1999) and Inexpressible Island (1999). He has written extensively for radio, television and film. He is the founder of the Baffin Island Writer's Project.
