The document is an order for a horse bridge to be built by the inhabitants of Watertown, Mass. Possibly this is the bridge ordered by the Massachusetts General Court on May 26, 1647 that was to be completed by Nov. 1, 1647, though the order was extended by ten months. Cf. -- Thompson, Divided we stand, Watertown, Massachusetts, 1630-1680 (2001), p. 93.
