Diary of John James [manuscript]. 1877-1878.

Diary account written by John James, who left England with his wife on the ship Tyburnia, bound for Australia, in 1877. His first entry is dated November 17, 1877, and the last on February 2nd, 1878. James describes the weather, sea, ships passed, life, illness and death, and Christmas and New Year onboard.
