Whiteware lidded jar was made by Knowles, Taylor & Knowles in East Liverpool, Ohio, in Columbiana County. Produced in approximately 1892, this round jar is an example of the pottery's Lotus Ware line. It is white and decorated with fourteen filigree columns alternating in blue and rose. All of the columns have gold leaf applied to them. The openwork lid has a crown-shaped finial and the same colors that are on the base.

Knowles, Taylor & Knowles was founded by Isaac Knowles and Isaac Harvey in 1854 in East Liverpool, Ohio. The partners produced Rockingham and yellow queensware.
