The 150th Regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry was composed of several former Ohio National Guard units and was organized at Cleveland on May 5, 1864, to serve 100 days. Its term of service was spent in garrison duty at Washington, D.C. It was mustered out on Aug. 23, 1864. After the war its veterans held annual reunions. Cleveland (Ohio) lawyer who grew-up in the Dutch Valley area of Tuscarawas County, Ohio. He was an amateur historian and wrote numerous short stories about his childhood home in Tuscarawas County. His second wife, Beza (Boynton) Kaiser, also wrote stories about the early history of Tuscarawas County. Their children were Ella Kaiser Carruth and John Boynton Kaiser.
