Description: Photocopy of a Civil War letter, 1865, written by Charles Brown to his wife, Mary; transcription of the letter, photocopy of a photograph of Charles and Mary Brown, and an obituary of Charles Brown, 1926. Charles Brown enlisted in the army joining Company C 18th Wis. Infantry in Vernon County where the family lived at the time. In 1896, the family moved to Chippewa Falls.
