Receipt for provisions issued to nine chiefs of the Mille Lacs Bands of Chippewa Indians by E. (Ebenezer) Douglass, U.S. Indian agent, at Long Lake, Minnesota. The handwritten document itemizes the provisions and gives the Chippewa (Ojibwe) names of the chiefs and the names of the interpreter and a witness; it is signed by E. Douglass and by a second witness, Arthur G. Douglass.
