Letters written to his mother, 1935 May 26-1936 August 2. The letters were written while Don A. Walker was serving on H. M. A. S. Brisbane and H. M. A. S. Sydney. H. M. A. S. Brisbane took crewmen to Britain to take delivery of the new H. M. A. S. Sydney. Italy attacked Abyssinia and H. M. A. S. Sydney was diverted to apply League of Nations sanctions in the Mediterranean.
