Comprises a history of Timboon, Vic., copied in 1974 by Mr V. Edsall, from the diary of his uncle. Includes descriptions of pioneers, schools, post, railway, roads, business people and hotels. Also, history of the Catholic church at Timboon, collected by E.J. McKinnon, Port Campbell, 1974, from Timboon and Camperdown Parish records; history of the Anglican church at Timboon, by Mrs E. Clarke, Port Campbell, 1974; and poem/song "Hop picking time at Canongoort" written by John Egan Purnim about the Callaways who grew prize-winning Hops between 1893 and 1902 but had to abandon this when red spider decimated the crop.
