Diary kept on baord the ship John and Lucy on a voyage to Melbourne. The diary is dated 7 June, 1854. Also includes a certificate of proclamation for Bonus for Marriage between John Spence and Charlotte Smith, 20 May, 1852. The diary was possibly written by one of them.
