Letters, photographs and other papers relating to the active service of Lt. Colonel E.J. Marston during World War Two. Bulk of letters are dated 1941-1943, are addressed to his wife Thelma and son John, and are signed "Ted". Other papers include miscellaneous letters addressed to Ted and Thelma Marston, 1918-1944; poems; text of a speech entitled "Know your enemy"; printed ephemera; school report, 1941; notice advising Marston's promotion to temporary rank of Lieutenant Colonel, 18 March 1943; telegram advising Marston's death; and photographs and negatives.
