Comprises five letters. Four of them, 12 July 1893 to 2 January 1897, are from James Dawson of Scott St., Camperdown. One letter, May 1902, is from Isabella P. Taylor of Dandenong Rd., Caulfield, and congratulates Violet on the birth of her daughter. The Dawson letters refer to an oil painting by Violet Anderson of Tower Hill and Lake, to Dawson's museum at the Mechanics' Institute in Camperdown, to his relations in Scotland, and to gardening.
