The original manuscript of McCrae's childhood reminiscences, used by Angus & Robertson in the production of the book in 1935, with pencilled editorial markings and housed in a morocco slipcase bearing the bookplate of George Mackaness ; also tipped in, a letter dated 5 March 1942 from Hugh McCrae to George Mackaness presenting the manuscript, and a press cutting dated 21 January 1970 bearing a note on how the manuscript was sold in 1969 for $450.00.
