Letter from Charles Harpur, "Euroma" via Bodalla, to Henry Kendall dated 21 March 1864, expressing his views about a colonial critic; letter from Charles Harpur, "Euroma", to Henry Kendall, 10 April 1867, referring to the death in a shooting accident of his son, Charles Harpur, and the effects of floods on his farm. On the verso of the second page is the proposed inscription for his son's tombstone ; letter from Charles Harpur, "Euroma", to Henry Kendall, 8 Sept. 1867, stating that he had no wish to have anything further to do with Sydney journals and newspapers, requesting return of his manuscripts, and attacking Bennett and other journalists; proof sheets of Harpur's poem "A storm in the mountains" (4 p.).
