Letter. 1856 Dec. 20.

Written to his parents in Scotland, from Tower Hill, Victoria; briefly describes his voyage to Australia, his employment as an agricultural labourer and his impressions of the country and its inhabitants, including comparisons with conditions in Scotland. Also, an annotated transcript of the letter and introductory family history notes written by his great-grandson, Rod Duncan.
