Signed by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert; (4) Letter from Albert W. Woods to G. Gairdner, Heralds' College, 1859 Feb. 19, requesting Gairdner to forward the grant and insignia to La Trobe; (5) Envelope, with the note "Warrant, etc. Companionship of the Order of the Bath, Nov. 30. 1858" in La Trobe's hand; (6) Insignia of a Companion of the Order of the Bath, conferred on C.J. La Trobe.
