The unofficial diary of H.R.H. The Prince of Wales visit to Australia, New Zealand and the colonies in the Atlantic and Pacific, March to October 1920, 1912-1938. 1912-1938.

Private and unofficial diary of Edward, Prince of Wales, compiled by his staff. The diary covers the Prince's visit to Australia, New Zealand and colonies in the Atlantic and Pacific, from 16 March 1920 to 11 October 1920, on H.M.S. Renown. Included with the diary are photocopies of relevant pages from "The diaries of Lord Louis Mountbatten, 1920-1922", edited by Philip Ziegler, attributing the writing of the Prince's unofficial diary to Mountbatten. There are also loose papers related to the diary including: a list of the officers of the HMS Renown; an account of crossing the line; and an account of the accident to the royal train in Western Australia. In addition to the diary, the collection also includes: a list of the places visited by the Prince of Wales in his travels, 1912-1933, in calligraphy by Leonard James Newell, 1938; a silver plaque related to HMS Renown; and a list of statistics and particulars of Tanganyika Territory.
